Haslo out of Spanish Champion Rancholunac de Ubrique and Barti J.Macelia completed his Championship in 2008. What was unique about the timing of his shows is as we wanted our dogs to finish their titles (each dog competes against the standard and can be disqualified if they do not meet the standard) as well as only one Spanish Water Dog walks away with the coveted Best of Breed, so we put CHUKA in the ring with HASLO as we were curious as to which dog the Judges would place as the Best of Breed. Out of 6 shows, 3 Judges gave the Best of Breed to HASLO and 3 Judges gave the Best of Breed to CHUKA. At the National Specialty Judge Marcy Zingler swore we worked him on a treadmill due to his strength and substance. Haslo is the producer of LIJA's Esperanza (Optigen Clear), CHAMPION LIJA's Timberoaks Oak's Cheka (Optigen-Carrier), Multiple BIS LIJA's Honey Bea (Optigen-Clear. He is among the Greats in the US as to his contribution to the breed.
