The Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon is a relatively new breed to the USA. They were developed in Germany from two champion blue & tan yorkies that belonged to Mr. & Mrs. Werner Biewer. This pair threw tri-colored pups and the Biewers fell in love with the look so they nurtured the lines to the breed we have today. Although a young breed, at only a little over 20 yrs old, it has been popular in Germany for many years and is now quickly gaining popularity in the United States and other countries.

TWe are happy to have been entrusted by our German breeders to bring this wonderful little breed to the USA to raise pups for the people here. We are proud to be a member of the Biewer Breed Club International, which is an outstanding club with impeccable members who are working toward the recongition of the Biewer in the various kennel clubs in the USA, and for the education of the public about this amazing little toy breed.

Here at Windy Hill we strive for health, beauty, and quality (never quantity!) in our Biewers. Our breeding stock are out of wonderful, pure Biewer lines and we feel it is important to keep it that way. Our dogs are health tested for luxatting patellae, liver shunt, and have a liver enzyme blood panel. They are regulary vet checked and vaccinated. Our puppies are vet checked, vaccinated, fecals examined, liver shunt tested and patellae checked before leaving our home but they do not leave before 12 weeks of age. All our dogs and puppies are raised underfoot and live in our home with my husband and three children, so they are well socialized by the time they are ready to go to their new families.
